In December 2023, we obtained the UNI EN ISO 14064-1:2019 verification declaration for the calculation of Franplast’s carbon footprint.
This certification has enabled us to quantify our greenhouse gas emissions and draw up an accurate inventory of them, allowing us to initiate a series of Carbon Management policies.
We are committed to transparency by certifying and disclosing our emissions data. This is because we attach great importance to environmental sustainability and intend to embark on a path of decarbonisation.
To this end, we have calculated emissions throughout the life cycle of our products, from the production of raw materials to the delivery of our compound to the customer. The result is reliable and certified by a third party according to the ISO 14064-1 standard.
We have already made progress with the full operation of our photovoltaic plant, which allows us to reduce indirect emissions related to electricity consumption. Furthermore, one of our next goals is to initiate a strategy to select raw material suppliers whose production cycle has a reduced environmental impact.
We will continue to explore new initiatives and sustainable technologies in order to further reduce our environmental impact and promote responsible business development.
